Digital Bangladesh goes one step ahead: Mustafa Jabbar

In 2010, he acted as an activist to demand one-rate internet across the country. This time, on his 73rd birthday, he announced the fulfillment of that dream. Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar declared this historic moment as the milestone of a truly digital Bangladesh. He said that Digital Bangladesh has taken another step ahead. He made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon announcing the inauguration of all ISPs and private NTTN and IIG tariffs for broadband internet across the country. BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder presided over the meeting while BTCL Managing Director Rafiqul Matin and Summit Communications Limited Managing Director Arif Al Islam were among the participants. Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Md. Afzal Hossain, IIGB Secretary-General Ahmed Junaid and ISPAB Secretary-General Imdadul Haque were present. Brigadier General Nasim Parvez, Director General, SS Division, BTRC, presented the tariff plan at a function conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Rezaur Rahan, Director, BTRC Systems and Services.
